I’ve uploaded the video of me performing at Wroclaw Industrial Festival, which was recorded by Yukari (moshcam) and Jean-Yves Millet for the balcony camera. The sound is taken from my on-stage mixer for clarity. The full recording will be available on CD in 2020.
Happy to confirm that I’ll be doing a live set at the Ohm Club in Berlin on 15th June, to celebrate the release later this year of the ‘Fractal Disruption’ 12″ on the Aura Expansion label. With DJ skills for the night provided by Omar and Stephen Mallinder (of Wrangler and Cabaret Voltaire, amongst others).
Very dodgy and rough footage shot on 8mm video tape by Trevor Malcolm. At the end of the Live at Knowledge section, you can clearly hear the security guys telling him to stop recording. Nothing at all to do with drugs going down in the club. I got paid £50 for playing at Knowledge – it took me five hours to set up the hardware and some toad shouted “Play something live mate!”. Dave called me a high tech bastard. Yukari danced with Michelle. Coil came along (apparently). Neil Vitamin did the lights. Trevor did a great job considering how dark it all was. Uploaded just for historical reasons, for those around at the time.
Thanks to Martin Stürtzer (Phelios), you can watch the whole of my performance S.E.T.I. Live at Phobos VIII at Sophienkirche in Wuppertal on March 11th 2017.
For those interested in the gear I used, here is a list: Mutable Instruments ‘Shruthi’ synthesizer, Bastl Instruments Trinity Poly, Roland SP404SX Sampler, Bleep Labs ‘Nebulophone’, Phonic 12:2 mixer, Mute Dirty Synth 1, Boss SE50, Boss Tera Echo, Koma Elektronik BD101 Delay, Sony MiniDisk, 4:1 submixer….the video was edited in iMovie. Here you will find the gig video recorded by Jean-Yves Millet (thank you). 3D stills mapped by Pete Woodhead – thanks also to Pete! This is part one. Parts two and three should automatically follow in the playlist…thanks to a great audience, to the LOKI and Raubbau Rising guys for organising everything and to Marco for the live audio control.
Stephen Jarvis of VII Sins has created a great video cut up for my 1988 track ‘USA v LHO’ from ‘Nadir’. You can view it here and get the album for only $4 here at Bandcamp
