Two remixes I did. One for Karl Bartos’ White Cube Gallery, entitled ‘Esperanto (FBI Mix)’ and the other just for fun, entitled ‘Class Hacked’ by Toni Able/Joi de Cocteau.
Thanks to Shawn Splane for the excellent fly recording, which became drone.
Shawn explained ‘Recorded on iPhone 5/5/15 in my basement. A fly infestation mysteriously appeared that spring in the basement. After tiring of swatting them or shooing them out of the room, I wondered if flypaper was still a thing. Surprised to find some at the local hardware store. Didn’t take long for the victims to start populating the flypaper. This one was valiantly trying to escape and provided its own tragic soundtrack.’
At my Bandcamp page you can find two new sets of recordings and will also note that I have changed a few albums to be ‘Name Your Price’. Please enjoy responsibly!
Whilst recording the forthcoming S.E.T.I. eight album set for Loki Foundation, I made some tracks that were (way) too noisy for the project.
This lead me to creating a new Dr. Fleischbrittel album called ‘First World Mbefe’.
The tracks should not be compared to my S.E.T.I. ambient work or my more techno-oriented material.
This is fairly harsh noise with a few sprinklings, but it’s very cathartic to listen to, so I wanted to share it.
As there is a lot of bass in the tracks, please try to play out loud on a good system or at the very least, on quality headphones, otherwise many of the important details will be lost and you will not ‘feel’ the sound.
Thanks to Martin Stürtzer (Phelios), you can watch the whole of my performance S.E.T.I. Live at Phobos VIII at Sophienkirche in Wuppertal on March 11th 2017.
