Thank you to those who have supported my recent releases on Bandcamp. Although I couldn’t make it to Berlin for the 33YLOKI celebrations, I’ve been working hard here at Studio FWD on forthcoming material. I’m trying my best to keep the sounds fresh and not go over old ground. Fans of S.E.T.I. may be surprised by the next set of recordings 🙂
This animated video from my track ‘Meteoroids’ was created by Slow Tiger (Markus Kempken) – hand drawn, except for the dust, which was scanned into the computer. Composited and edited in Final Cut Pro. The track is available on the ‘Sporogenesis’ album via my Bandcamp page.
Whilst recording the forthcoming S.E.T.I. eight album set for Loki Foundation, I made some tracks that were (way) too noisy for the project.
This lead me to creating a new Dr. Fleischbrittel album called ‘First World Mbefe’.
The tracks should not be compared to my S.E.T.I. ambient work or my more techno-oriented material.
This is fairly harsh noise with a few sprinklings, but it’s very cathartic to listen to, so I wanted to share it.
As there is a lot of bass in the tracks, please try to play out loud on a good system or at the very least, on quality headphones, otherwise many of the important details will be lost and you will not ‘feel’ the sound.
