As you get older, the number of secrets you keep increases. Sometimes we keep our real health situation from friends and family – for privacy or to protect those around us.
Sometimes we are asked to hold on to secrets so that another ‘artist’ (as we like to call ourselves) isn’t exposed as the one wearing the Emperor’s New Clothes. This, I suppose, is known as integrity. To protect the reputations of others, despite one’s better nature.
As I get older, I see the true nature of those I once considered seniors in the arts – the ones I looked up to, studied and followed eagerly. When the truth is revealed, I sigh and look to who is left. There are still some who have been there since my youth, who I still respect. I’ve even met them, dined with them (!) and confirmed my hopes that they were indeed the solid and honest people I had hoped they would be.
Anyway, enough of this introspection! On to the business of the day, full details of which must remain secret for now, until I’m allowed to reveal more!
Here are the projects I’m working on so far this year, which will keep me busy enough, thank you for asking.
- The Malnovnova 12″ which is due to be released later this month.
- A joint 12″ vinyl project, which has one of my tracks on it. Label TBA in due course.
- A four track 12″ vinyl project which features tracks from my catalogue that have not been previously released on vinyl. Label TBA in due course.
- A joint album project with an exciting electronic artist, which is well underway. We both work pretty fast, so it’s currently looking really positive. Label TBA in due course.
- S.E.T.I. live – this is one I’ve mentioned before on social media. Again, I can’t reveal when or where until the official announcement is made. Suffice to say, it is in Europe and is not the usual dark ambient/industrial event you might have expected. When I announced the end of my S.E.T.I. recordings, I did write that I may do live events, so don’t expect me to release this on Bandcamp!
