Lagowski – ‘Daemons of the Western World’

September 24, 2016

I have put some new Lagowski tracks and remixes up on Bandcamp. All proceeds from the sale of this music will go towards the treatment of Ania Mehring, the wife of Maciej Mehring, founder of the Zoharum label. She has been diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer.

Cultivation Series Volume 1

February 8, 2011

Waiting World Records is proud to announce Cultivation Series Volume 1 from the post-industrial/dark ambient outfit Kuwahara (Mike Honeycutt and M. Peck) is now available.
Unlike many sophomore releases, this 45 minute slab of gnarled soundscapes and shimmering audio poetics are remixes of the tracks featured on the groups highly acclaimed debut HoneyCult.
Cultivation Series Volume 1 features remixes from some of today’s most notable sound artists and standouts in their genres with offerings from WILT, Steve Brand, Mannequin Hollowcaust, Andrew Lagowski and two previously unreleased tracks from Kuwahara. Make no mistake, these are not just rehashed renditions of the original tracks and come off as something entirely new to the listener. Each artist left their own mark on the tracks leaving the release as a whole, a very fluid and coherent offering, albeit jaundiced and decrepit, this album reeks of brilliance in a most progressive manner. Geomatic remix

Free remix of a great Geomatic track by yours truly.

New location, new setup

December 22, 2007

We moved house in August and are still sorting through many things but my music and sound system is beginning to settle down. The end-of-2007 setup includes: Logic 8, Metasynth 4 Pro, Ableton Live 6, gleetchlab 2.3, Reason 4, ixiQuarks and various plug-ins and editors. My newest sound projects include a remix/mashup of Karl Bartos’ ‘Esperanto’ album tracks for his forthcoming virtual exhibition, and new Lagowski and S.E.T.I. tracks. Hoping to digitise some very old Nagamatzu cassettes and VHS video for the new year….should be fun! In the meantime, Mrs Lags and I will be enjoying the new TGV box set and CARTERTUTTI album 🙂

Geomatic remix

May 7, 2007

Another remix project which I finished last week was for Geomatic. They are two Lithuanian guys living and working in Amsterdam, who have a new album coming out later this year on the M-Tronic label. It’s powerful music and recorded to the highest quality, so will be well worth getting hold of.
